Happy Monday! Let’s take a just a quick minute to catch up on the latest happenings in our local dining scene! Here’s what’s new this past week:

Business Updates

  • Chings Chinese Restaurant, located at 1101 N. Main St. in Normal, has closed. The owner is partnering with the Kobe Group on the Kobe Ramen Pho & Poke, grand opening next month! The current Ching’s location will be rebranded and reopened as a new spot featuring Korean corn dogs, fried chicken, and bubble waffles.
  • Froth and Fork is now under new ownership and management. Check out their revamped menu during their soft launch on Oct 22 & 23 featuring complementary items.
  • Sugar Mama Bakery launches “Sugar Mama After Dark” this November. Rent out the space for a private party complete with appetizers and dessert. Check out their socials for more details.
  • Bandana’s BBQ celebrated their last night in their location at 502 IAA Drive on Sunday. They will be remodeling the space at 307 N. Veterans Parkway (the old Meatheads/Epic Burger) before opening in early November.
  • Golden Ticket Cinema’s “Bloomington Ale House” opened Friday 10/17 in the former Ovation location. In addition to heated luxury recliner seating, guests can enjoy an extensive hot food menu featuring burgers, wings, flatbreads and more; milkshakes and specialty desserts; and self-serve popcorn & drinks with free refills all day. Plus they’ve got a 30-tap self-pour beer wall coming soon.

Menu Changes

  • Danvers Vault debuted a new, updated menu today. In addition, they have a new payment system which accepts credit cards. Visit their Facebook page to check out the new menu!
