Happy Monday! Let’s take a just a quick minute to catch up on the latest happenings in our local dining scene! Here’s what’s new this past week:
Business Updates
- Bandana’s Bar-B-Que is now open in their new location at 305 N. Veterans Parkway in Bloomington (next to Men’s Wearhouse).
- Carl’s Ice Cream in Bloomington welcomed “Marge,” a large Uniroyal statue, to stand next to “Carl.” Carl is named after the original owner, Carl Garbe, while Marge pays homage to the current owner, Wade Irwin’s mother, Margaret “Marge” Irwin.
- Funks Grove Pure Maple Sirup is open three Saturdays this holiday season from 10 am-4 pm each day: November 22nd (coinciding with the 2025 Shuckin’ Awesome Holiday Art Market at Funk Farms Premium Beef), December 13th and December 20th. (They are otherwise closed for the season.)
Anniversaries
- Fort Jesse Cafe celebrates their 10th anniversary today (11/17)! Cheers to a decade of delicious meals.
- Maggie Miley’s is old enough to drink at the bar! Their 21st Anniversary Celebration is coming up on Friday, November 21st.
