New Restaurant Openings
The Bloomington-Normal culinary scene has been buzzing with excitement as several new restaurants have recently opened their doors, bringing fresh flavors and dining experiences to the community.
Sao’s Late Night Eatery (opened July 5th): Embrace the late-night cravings with Sao’s Late Night Eatery. Located at 309 E. Wood St. in Bloomington (the former Bloomington Day Care Center) Sao’s serves up delicious late-night soul food delights from creamy mac n cheese to crispy fried fish. Craving a sweet late-night treat? End your meal with some homemade banana pudding.
Run ‘N Erin’s (opened July 5th): Formerly 1107 West Bar & Grill, Run ‘N Erin’s welcomes guests under new ownership by former 1107 bartender Erin Killian. Experience the transformed atmosphere and revamped menu with bar favorites like beef nachos and mac ‘n cheese bites. Invite some friends and order a bucket of domestic beer to wash it all down.
Gracie’s Fonda (opened July 2nd): Located across from Miller Park Zoo occupying the former Eric’s Restaurant location, Gracie’s Fonda opened on July 2nd. Owned by Gracie Kelley, who previously ran Gracie’s Tacos and Wings, this spot promises a delightful culinary adventure from tacos, to tortas, crispy fried wings and more.
Central Parke Bar & Grill (opened June 29th): On June 29th, Central Parke Bar & Grill, located in the BW Parke Regency Hotel & Conference Center, celebrated its Grand Opening. (You may remember this spot being the home of former restaurant Braize from April 2017 – June 2020). With all their dishes made from scratch, this revamped bar and grill promises a memorable dining experience. Dine inside or enjoy the summer weather on their outdoor patio.
Zeta Coffee (location in Red Raccoon opened late June): The folks at Zeta Coffee have been busy recently. Earlier this year they took over ownership of The Union in Downs. It has since undergone an exciting transformation and revamp including a name change to Zeta Coffee. You can still enjoy their delightful ice cream, along with a diverse selection of coffee, at their Downs location and their NEW location in Downtown Bloomington inside the news location of Red Raccoon Games. This new spot even features a fun walk-up window for easy ordering!

From a renowned restaurant’s arrival to unique pet-themed experiences, these soon-to-open establishments are set to enhance the local dining scene and provide even more reasons to indulge in the vibrant food culture of our community.
The Cat’s Meow Cafe Combining the love for coffee and adorable feline friends, The Cat’s Meow Cafe is set to open at 507 N. Hershey in Bloomington in mid to late August. Savor your favorite beverages while cuddling with adoptable cats—a truly unique experience awaits.
Jasper’s Java Coffee enthusiasts, mark your calendars! 1601 GE Rd. in Bloomington will soon be home to Jasper’s Java, a drive-through coffee shop set to open in September. Prepare to indulge in quality brews and delightful flavors. This unique drive-thru only establishment, named after the owners’ Bernese mountain dog, Jasper, is housed in a 9.5-foot-tall cube shipping container.
Revery Renowned Indiana restaurant Revery is coming to Bloomington-Normal! Set to open this fall in the former Ozark House building, this highly anticipated addition which offers dishes such as bluefin tuna, pork belly, steakhouse cuts and more will surely impress discerning palates.

Keg Grove Brewing Company Celebrating their 5-year anniversary in June, Keg Grove Brewing Company has exciting news. They will expand into the Morris, Illinois community later this year, bringing their exceptional craft brews to a new audience.
Millie’s Chill & Grill On July 4th, Millie’s Chill & Grill in Le Roy commemorated their impressive 5-year journey of serving burgers, ice cream and more and creating cherished memories for their loyal patrons.
Analytical Brewing Join Analytical Brewing in Lexington as they celebrate their 1-year anniversary on July 15th. Raise a glass and indulge in their carefully crafted beers, showcasing their passion for the art of brewing.
Gill Street Sports Bar and Restaurant Whether you’re in the mood for sports, food or fun, Gill Street is the place to be. They’re celebrating a milestone 20 years this July. Save the date for a celebration on July 22nd.
